If you’re a student looking for a top class business school with a multi-cultural feel, then look no further than Insead. Consistently ranked as one of the worlds best business schools, Insead has a faculty from 36 countries across the globe, and campuses in France, Singapore and Abu Dhabi. There’s also a research centre in Israel and partnerships with Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania, Tsinghua University in China, and Executive Education Partnerships in Brazil. The university admits around 1,000 degree students each year, while 9,500 admissions are accepted on their executive education programs.
The MBA course at Insead focuses on accelerated learning, bringing students up to speed in 10 months. Courses are run on the same dates at each campus, so there are opportunities for international study. Course costs total €56,000 for 2011/2012. Study includes looking at research methods and disciplines, and how they are used in business, in-depth study of special areas of interest, and a long research and dissertation project at the end of the course. These courses are funded through Insead Scholarships, help with living expenses, and external funding. Employment is not permitted during the duration of this course.
Last, but by no means least, Insead also prides itself on its wide range of Executive Education programs, designed to improve the skills of current business leaders. The courses vary in terms of admission dates, duration and course fees, and cover subjects like strategy, marketing, and operations management. Example courses include The Challenge of Leadership, a 5 day course costing €30,000, and a Master class in Social Media and Marketing, which lasts 3 days and costs €3,000.
